The #1 Roth Conversion Mistake That Costs Retirees
Most people missed the first Roth conversion window. History is offering a rare second chance — but not a long one.
With today's tax rates extended, IRA Millionaires have a brief stretch of historically low brackets left. When it closes, the math changes: higher rates, bigger required distributions, and fewer conversion opportunities each year you wait.
Craig Wear, CFP®, has spent 15+ years helping more than 3,000 families with $1M+ in IRAs plan Roth conversions — helping them avoid a projected $10B+ in lifetime taxes. His new book, Roth Conversion Reset, is the step-by-step playbook:
Lock in today's low rates
Avoid RMD surprises at 73
Protect your spouse from survivor taxes
Keep more for your heirs

TOP STORY
AI Slop Hall of Fame

Every era seems to have their own folklore.
Ours is AI slop — Merriam-Webster's official 2025 Word of the Year, if you can actually believe that.
So today we're doing something a little different…
We’re proudly inducting five real, well-documented examples into the AI Slop Hall of Fame — the internet's most infamous AI-generated images, videos, search results, marketing stunts, and workplace disasters.
Each one teaches a real lesson about spotting low-quality AI content before it costs you money, credibility, or worse..
You'll see what we mean.
Let’s Dive in 👇
INDUCTEE #1
Shrimp Jesus

Possibly one of AI slop’s most well-known figures: Shrimp Jesus
Very strange AI-generated images of Jesus fused with shrimp, crabs, and other sea life, captioned with lines like "Say Amen for seven years of luck."
It sounds like a joke, and in a sense it is — except the joke is on anyone who engages with it.
This is the most basic form of engagement-farming AI content: pages generate dozens of surreal, emotionally provocative images a day using tools like Midjourney or Leonardo, bait people into commenting "Amen," build a massive following, and then quietly take advantage of that audience or straight-up scam them.
INDUCTEE #2
Willy Wonka Experience

This one truly cracks me up and I can’t possibly believe anything truly thought this was a “real experience”.
In February 2024, families in Glasgow paid roughly $45 a ticket for "Willy's Chocolate Experience" — a candy wonderland straight out of the AI-generated marketing images that sold the event.
What they got instead was a nearly empty warehouse with a half-inflated bouncy castles, two jellybeans, and a quarter cup of lemonade per child.
You can see how dangerous this can become very quickly when everyday people start to believe this is real and worse pay money to attend such an event.
The worst part is this was done on purpose!
A business used AI-generated event photos to mass sell an experience it never intended to deliver, and the gap between the AI marketing and the physical reality was so wide it became an international news story.

INDUCTEE #3
Google’s Glue-On-Pizza

This next one is straight-up stupidity….
Back when Google rolled out AI Overviews — AI-written summaries displayed above regular search results — one answer became instantly, gloriously infamous.
Someone searched why cheese slides off pizza, and Google's AI confidently suggested mixing in "about 1/8 cup of non-toxic glue" for extra tackiness.
Who would actually believe this — the problem is.. People did or they wanted you to think they did, because they started adding a new topping to their pizza… GLUE!
It's a genuinely important thing to understand about every AI tool you use, from search engines to chatbots: fluency is not the same thing as accuracy, and the two can be dangerously easy to confuse when the writing sounds legitimate.
INDUCTEE #4
The 362-Million View Nightmare Video

This one is actually in my personal wheel-house but it started as an engagement challenge.
A new category of AI-generated video content exploded across Facebook and Instagram — dreamlike video clips with no real storyline, just visual spectacle designed to keep you watching.
Here’s where the nightmare video was born — a video of a strange creature morphing into a spider and then into a "nightmare giraffe" inside a shopping mall, which reportedly pulled in more than 362 million views across Meta's apps.
What makes AI video slop different from a normal viral video is intent.
Nobody sat there and was like, okay let’s create a horror video about a giraffe in a shopping mall — it existed because AI video generators make it nearly free to produce endless unbelievable footage, and platform algorithms reward anything that holds your eyes for a few extra seconds.

INDUCTEE #5
Workslop: AI Junk in your Inbox

The Hall of Fame's AI Slop wouldn’t be complete without most expensive inductee which doesn't live on social media — it lives in your inbox.
Workslop is a term to describe AI-generated memos, reports, and emails that look official on the surface but fall apart the moment someone actually reads them.
The math gets ugly fast: researchers calculated workslop costs roughly $186 per worker, per month, in wasted time — which adds up to more than $9 million a year in lost productivity for a 10,000-person company.
The core problem isn't AI itself; it's using AI to generate volume instead of value, then passing that volume off as finished work.
Which i’m sure we all can relate to at least once in our lifetime.
🔥 Final Thoughts
What does this all mean?
To be honest.. I don’t really know.
AI Slop is basically people messing around to create clickbait content for no purpose other than to mess with the internet.
On one hand it’s kind of funny — a challenge if you will to create the most outrageous piece of AI content that is also horrendous & cringe-worthy.
