Cameo is a free app you can download for Apple/Android. There’s tons of creators on this platform, even celebrities.

The Beauty is you don’t need to be famous or have a large following to start making money on the platform.

Browse the creators already on the platform and take a look how they film/edit their videos.

You don’t need years of editing experience, in fact most videos I’ve seen aren’t edited at all, they are all one take videos making them feel more authentic and real.

Create Your Account

When signing up to Cameo it’s important to use your real name or the brand you’ve created so your audience/followers can find you.

They make it super simple to connect your bank account or a PayPal account to receive money.

With all social media platforms remember to checkout the Terms & Conditions just to make sure you stay within the guidelines of what is an acceptable video practice to film.

Take Your Profile Photo

You can use your profile photo from other social media accounts you may have or take a new picture.

If your brand has a logo/design I would personally stick with that so you’ll be recognizable.

Write Your Bio

Try not to overthink this step… It’s easy to be stuck wanting everything to sound perfect, but the truth is you’ll come across as more relatable and real if it’s simple and genuine.

Introduce yourself and let people know where they can find you, which socials and how you can make their day brighter or why they should choose you to create their custom video message.

Here’s an example to get the ball rolling:

Don’t worry if it takes you a couple tries that’s natural and if you don’t have that much experience in front of a camera it may take some time to get use to talking into the lens.

If you find you’re mumbling or rambling on, that’s okay… You may want to keep that version of the video because it’s raw or film another version that maybe a little more polished up.

If you have followers who’ve joined your YouTube community and are paying then you can bump the price up a bit more.

Make sure you are responding to video requests, chat messages/DM’s within 24 hours to build the trust and respect of your audience.

Advanced Pricing Tricks

Since you have the power to adjust the video prices, here’s some ideas on how to tweak depending on the time of year or season we’re currently in.

Holiday surcharge: Add $15 during Christmas, birthdays season
Rush delivery: Charge double for same-day delivery
Business videos: Charge 3x your normal rate (businesses have bigger budgets)
Long videos: Charge extra for videos over 2 minutes

🤑 How Much Can You Make

Every platform that provides a service will take a cut of your revenue.

Cameo takes 25% of everything you earn, which seems like a lot but for such a simple platform to use and seeing the effort level is minimum to create these videos that’s not too bad.

Let’s say you set your videos at $5 a pop for starting out.

Cameo will take $1.25 and you’ll keep $3.75.

While these numbers seem really low, that all depends on multiple factors:
